Master Bath Wow

I love designing bathrooms, especially master bathrooms. Maybe it is the endless array of beautiful tiles to choose from, the luxurious bathtubs, or just the simple pleasure of helping my clients create their dream bathroom. When designing a bathroom function and layout are foremost but not to worry, as your designer, I always have the Wow Factor in my back pocket.

A fabulous crystal chandelier is the main Wow Factor, followed by a massive mirror that delivers drama and depth to the space. Functionally, vanities opposite each other are always popular giving everyone their personal space is a nice feature.

In a light and peaceful space, it may seem like there is no wow factor but look again. The arches add character, a mosaic floor insert provides a visual focal point, and a luxurious tub all work together to create a spa like atmosphere and subtle wow.

I wanted to stay with the subtle wow concept and show you a version of a master bath with a double vanity. When the space does not allow for separate vanities I still like to create a division of personal space, it seems to keep everyone happier. Addressing the wow factor is the arched ceiling, over sized moldings and ambient lighting behind the crown molding. Downlights Direct is a great source for task lighting. I also love the three mirrors and sconces in between.

I am currently obsessed with white bathrooms but there is something about this elegant space in a natural wood finish that I adore. The modern chic styling, parquet floors and wainscoting add to the appeal.

Below, a corner shower and crystal chandelier make a bold first impression. I love how the pale turquoise wall complements the Carrara marble while the espresso finish of the mirror frame provides contrast and definition.

Talk about Wow, I am in love with the chandelier on the right. The chocolate brown walls, touches of gold, and crisp white claw foot tub all add to the glamorous feel, fabulous!

This master bath makes me feel like I am at a seaside cottage in The Hampton’s and I just love it. From my perspective the wow factor is mainly architectural; fabulous transom windows and a dramatic ceiling height. The height of the built in shelving and bold moldings add to the wow factor along with the wide plank paneling in perfect pale mist blue. Using the wall color on the ceiling gives a cozy feel when you have high ceilings.

A rustic urban inspired master bathroom features lighting and mirror wow. The thickness of the counter top, clean lines of the vanity and the hip shag rug all contribute to the overall aesthetic.

This master bath is instantly inviting, don’t you think?  I am drawn to the drum light and the creative placement of the windows. I personally would forgo the vanity area for another sink, but that’s me.

I wanted to end with a wow factor that I adore, color! I love the smooth aqua vanity combined with the textured distressed turquoise walls. The wide plank, natural wood floors and aqua trim finish the look, so fun.
