Since I was a little girl I just love Valentines! I would anxiously await going to the store to pick out a box and I would make homemade Valentines for my family. It is no surprise then that I collect them today and adore decorating with them this time of year. I find myself in antique stores searching for things I need for my clients almost weekly (definitely a perk of the job) and this week several shops had vintage valentines displayed. How could I resist adding a few more to my collection (ranging from $1.50-$15.00), the perfect Friday Find. Above, I tossed some of my collection on my dining table and took a shot to help you get the idea LOL.
I bought several valentines this week when shopping for client projects, tip- at antique stores you will find them tossed in a basket or on a tray near the register or off in a corner. Above, the score of the day. I have never come across a Valentine that supports the Military and women in service. We are so grateful for the men and women who serve to protect our freedom and my son Cole hopes to be an engineer in the United States Marines Corps. in the future, so this one is a keeper. Below, my daughter Sarah hopes to be a costume designer some day and sews. I loved this sweet vintage girl, “I’m SEW sure” (I’m such a dork at times). I held out as long as I could, from now until February 14th I will be sharing everything Valentines Day on the blog from entertaining and decor to the sweetest desserts and finding The One! XO
