I live just forty minutes outside of NYC so the buzz of Fashion Week is pretty loud especially when you are a designer. February 7-14 fashion designers introduce their Fall 2013 Collections, take a peek at the official site of Fashion Week, there is a live cam on during the day that I am just loving. Fashion is extremely influential to the interior design industry, so this week I want to share ways to infuse the best looks of the runway into your interior. A few weeks ago I introduced an exciting series on the blog called, Inspiration to Interior, in honor of Fashion Week this week our daily inspiration will be from a fabulous fashion designer who is featuring their 2103 Fall Collection at Fashion Week and we will talk about how their creation can inspire an interior.
Today this tailored, sleek dress is the creation of Cesar Galindo, he is a master tailor, a skilled draper and a creative visionary. Galindo has been impeccably designing dresses and gowns for the last 23 years and recently launched his secondary collection in the Fall of 2011, CZAR by Cesar Galindo, consisting of dresses and soft separate components with varied edgier statement items. CZAR offers this younger sophisticated version of his signature collection at a contemporary price point, it is versatile and easy to wear.
Now on to this scrumptious interior designed by Peter Mikic. Modern and chic with influences from Milan. Both designers have used a saturated hue of blue that complements the shades of grey that they are paired with perfectly. The seating arrangement is symmetrical with a well tailored feel mirroring the the lines and construction of the garment by Galindo. This room is in the designers residence, his attention to detail and styling is exquisite. Allowing fashion from the runway to inspire your interior is as natural as it is hip. Stay tuned tomorrow for more Inspiration to Interior.
