In honor of NYC Fashion Week our inspiration for interiors is from some of the top fashion designers from around the world. Today we are featuring a personal favorite of mine, Carolina Herrera. Herrera sums it up best here, “I have a responsibility to the woman of today – to make her feel confident, modern and above all else beautiful.” – Carolina Herrera. In addition to her ready to wear collections she introduced her bridal line in 1987. Approaching bridal collections with the diversity and style innate in her ready to wear collections. I am in love with this neckline, fabric and fresh pattern as an interior designer this speaks volumes to me.
On to our interior, one word, pattern! This dress inspires me to want to drape fabulous panels in patterned fabric, and create a fabulous blue and white room. The crisp blue and white color scheme is timeless and one that my clients consistently enjoy living in. I just love the infusion of natural woods and rattan combined with the bold white wainscoting and moldings adding just a touch of character. This dress combines a roaring twenties feel with a modern approach, impeccable tailoring and attention to detail. Our room mirrors these design elements while pairing classic lanterns with a cathedral ceiling to complete the look.
