This year it is official, Easter is now my holiday to host. My Mom has always hosted Easter but she is passing the reins over to me. I want my table to be Easter chic and my menu to not feel like Thanksgiving. Today I am in search of table setting inspiration and simple decor ideas, I will worry about the menu and Easter Egg Hunt later in the week. The combination of a rustic farm-table with elegant china, a pop of yellow and the perfect place-card is just lovely.
Start the party at the front door with a whimsical DIY wreath to welcome your guests, you will be surprised how easy this one from FruitImage is to make, tutorial here. Below, place a random collection of bunnies on a mantel or console for a festive feel.
Cut a stencil of a bunny and place on top of the napkin for instant Easter. I like this idea for the kids table and thought it would be fun to add a crayon or two in the twine to color the bunny. Also loving the color palette of periwinkle blue, soft turquoise and pop of yellow.
I just adore favors for any occasion, I found these grass plants in vintage glassware and plan to send my guests home with a version of them. I especially like the Fenton Hobnail Glass pots, they will look fabulous on my mantel and then each will find a new home after Easter dinner (good thing my parents are avid pickers and found several for me). I hope your plans for the Holiday are moving along; for more Easter inspiration, decor and table-settings click here.
