Red, White & Blue Style

Happy Memorial Day friends, today I am sharing some red, white and blue inspiration with you. Red is vibrant and energetic, blue can be soothing or bold depending on the shade and white is peaceful and crisp. Combined the result is crisp, clean and fabulous.

The combination of these colors gives a feeling of patriotism and on the day when we honor our service men and women it is the perfect palette. Designer tip- Choose one of the colors to be dominant and then decide where each of the colors will go beginning with the wow factor.

In the living room above charcoal gray accents ground the strength of the red and bold blue pattern. Designing with this palette is a lot of fun and I have learned that you only need a touch of the red and blue to create the look. This cottage chic bedroom and nautical entryway demonstrate how a little goes a long way.

A white kitchen is such a fun place to add a pop of red. Here, a subtle blue cupboard completes the palette allowing the red to be the dominant accent. Further below, it is a bold move to paint the walls red but it is a move that always delivers.
