Rolling Door Love & Giveaway

aaslide

Rolling doors are such a fun way to add charm and architectural character to your home and can be used in many different applications from decorative to practical. I have used doors that were handed down in families, barn doors, reclaimed lumber and even flea market finds. Finding a unique door has never been a problem, finding hardware to hang it has been. Today we are giving away a set of hardware of your choice from Rolling Door Designs that combines the quality and aesthetics I look for when selecting hardware.

From cottage to contemporary the hardware you select will help achieve the design aesthetic you are after. I have combined the modern lines of a sleek hardware with a vintage door for an eclectic look and I have also used more traditional hardware with a barn door, anything goes and you will be surprised at how guests notice your door.

We all know that rolling doors add a fun design element but they can also be practical in the case when you don’t have room for a door swing or room for a pocket door inside the wall. I am currently working on a project where we are adding a powder room to the first floor but don’t have space for a door swing. A rolling door with barn door hardware is the perfect solution and adds charm at the same time. Below, plenty of space and pure aesthetics, love it. Enter to win the giveaway today and best of luck friends!

  • Doorless in Arizona

Can I say desperate? As in desperate for a rolling door! As an east
coast transplant to Arizona I was rather surprised to discover that the
home builders have a propensity for creating master baths with no door!
They’re open right from the bedroom and the “water closet” is behind a
closed door within the bathroom. But every other ritual of your daily
hygiene is on display to anyone who might come around the corner looking
for you. Did I mention your adult children and grandchildren who love
to arrive as you’re stepping out of the shower? So of course for the 2
years we’ve been in this house I’ve been obsessed with getting a rolling
door to work with the open to the public doorway from bedroom to bath.
But pricing has been prohibitive. This would be so great, so
wonderful, and so NEEDED! I’ve wanted a contemporary rolling door as
the solution to this dilemma which plagues so many homes in Arizona.
Can peace of mind be near at hand for me??

  • Serendipity Refined

I’m beginning a major rehab which will transform a 1950 brick ranch into a French farmhouse. This home will feature several “barn doors” both interior and exterior. Interior plans include rolling doors to separate a shared bath from adjoining bedroom spaces as well as a pantry/laundry room space.

  • tc

Two years ago, we bought a forclosure in Northern California- packed up our pets and our furniture, and moved from New Hampshire to the west coast. We have a gorgeous view, wildlife everywhere, fantastic neighbors..and a very big project on our hands! We’re working on the small bathroom off our living room, creating a suite with one of our bedrooms. The door leading from our living room to the bath/bedroom is currently one of those ugly, plastic-y accordian fold up jobs. The rolling door we will put there will be one step closer to our dream home. It is going to look fantastic!

    • http://adoreyourplace.com/ Cathy from Adore Your Place

tc thanks for visiting, yes the rolling door is such an awesome option and will bring instant character. I offer free design advice in Just Ask if you ever need it on your projects. So nice to meet you!
